Hello! My name is Judy Vo. This is my fourth year teaching at Lakeview Elementary School. I attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln from 2016-2020. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education and Human Sciences with a major in Elementary Educataion and a provisional endorsement in Teaching English Language Learners (this endorsement is still in progress!). Prior to teaching at Lakeview, I substitute taught for Lincoln Public Schools for 1 year and was a teacher assistant for an after school program located at Beattie Elementary and Humann Elementary. I am currently going to school for my Masters in Educational Leadership at Northwest Missouri State and another Masters in Human and Family Service Administration at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. 

Growing up, I attended Lincoln Public Schools from K-12. I was also in the English Language Learning program in LPS for 5 years. My family is originally from Vietnam and my first language is Vietnamese. Because of my experiences, I believe that I can relate to many of my wonderful and diverse students who come from all kinds of backgronds! I enjoy integrating real world learning opportunities in my classroom to give my students a richer learning experience. 

I believe all students can learn and it is my priority to meet my students' needs to the best of my ability in order to provide a safe and rich environment for them to succeed in. I am very excited to team up with you and your child in their learning. My goal as an educator is to encourage students to love learning and to set them and families up for success in the future! I feel passionate about being a lifelong learner myself, and I hope to instill that in my students. 

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, crafting, cooking/baking, spending time with family, friends and dog, as well as go shopping.
