I am an Arizonan/Nebraskan, which means I grew up in the desert, and I now love the prairie!  I left Phoenix to earn my bachelor's degree at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.  From the mountains, I went back to the desert of California for my first teaching position in Twentynine Palms, CA which is near Palm Springs.  I took a ten year break from my career to raise my own two children and returned to the teaching profession as a substitute.  I joined the Cavett staff as a Kindergarten Specialist, then taught 5th grade at Riley and have settled at Cavett.  I have also earned a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College and a Master's in Historical Studies from Wesleyan.  I love teaching because kids are ready to leap forward into learning great things!
