I grew up in an active family, spending evenings and summers outside with my brothers. We were involved in many sports, eventually filtering down to a passion for running. This path took me running cross country all the way through college. Today, I love spending time in the outdoors with my family. Riding bikes, going for walks, climbing mountains or roasting marshmellows under the open sky all bring a sense of peace that I welcome.
I work to inspire todays youth to find their special activity that gives them that sense of peace. I hope they can embrace activity as a way to have fun and be fit. I help the students build the skills they will need to be successful, as well as helping them to set realistic goals for their fitness levels.
Building students physical literacy in order to lead them to a lifetime filled with activities that they love is my ultimate goal. In order to accomplish this, I establish a safe environment for all students to suceed and challenge themselves at their level, continuting to improve upon their skills. I follow the best practices of the National Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) and the National and Nebraska State Standards.
