Professional Experience
As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher.
I started my career in Kearney at UNK teaching preschool. I worked closely with college students, preschool children, and parents. As time passed, I was given different college classes to teach including child development, infant development and development across the lifespan.
My second job was in Akron, Ohio. I accepted a position as Associate Director for the Center for Child Development at the University of Akron. I taught preschool, college classes and supervised teachers and students.
My third job was in Columbia, Missouri. I was only there one year and was an instructional math coach for 4th grade.
From there we moved to Lincoln and I accepted a teaching position in Kindergarten for LPS. I taught Kindergarten for several years before moving to 1st grade. From that position I got to experience being a classroom support and intervention teacher for 3 years. Now, I am back in 1st grade and can't wait to meet your 1st grader.
I am married and have two children. It has given me hands on experience also being a parent.
All my experiences have helped me to learn and grow in knowledge of children, families and education. I love to learn and learn every day!
I feel priviledged to be partnering with you and your child this year!
