I graduated from Lincoln East in June 2005. I wasn't sure, exactly, what I wanted to do but had a couple ideas. I attended Southeast Community College for 4 years as an academic transfer. During my time there, I took classes in juvenile justice and worked as a para for Lincoln Public Schools at Prescott Elementary. After officially landing on a career path, I started at Doane College - Crete in the fall of 2009. During my time at Doane I got the opportunity to student teach at Schoo Middle School in 7th grade Special Education. Later on, I got my degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.

After graduating with honors, I immediately started on my masters at Doane College - Lincoln and received my masters in Curriculum & Instruction 2 years later. I got my first teaching position in the fall of 2012. I split my days between Hartley Elementary and Prescott Elementary, both in Lincoln Public Schools. I worked in Special Education in the kindergarten and 5th grade classrooms. After a year I was able to return to the school that always near and dear to my heart, Schoo. I've been here since 2013 and have just recently started my 6th year in Special Education.
