About Me

My name is Kristy Kennedy and I am honored to begin my 19th year of teaching this fall as the Academic Interventionist at Kloefkorn!  I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with my degree in Elementary Education and am in the process of working towards my Master Degree in Educational Leadership at Doane University.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending my time with my wonderful husband, Ricky and our three children: Carson, Colton, and Everly. Most of my time is spent with my family exploring the outdoors, cooking, and playing games. In my personal free time I enjoy traveling, reading, listening to live music, and grabbing a cup of coffee with friends. Growing up in Schuyler, Nebraska I am also a proud Husker fan! I love going to football and volleyball games whenever I get the chance. Go Big Red!

I possess a deep passion for teaching all children. It is so amazing to watch students grow in their reading, writing, and mathematical skills. I hope to pass on the mentality of being a life long learner to my students as well as a passion for loving life and others! I truly am blessed to have the privilege to work with such an amazing administration team, leadership team, and staff. It is a true joy investing daily in the lives of Kloefkorn students and families!
