I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska but have traveled the world and enjoy learning on a daily basis. I have three children, Shelby, 19, a sophomore at San Jose State University, Jake, 15, a 10th grader at Pius X High School and Zeke, 11, a 6th grader at Cathedral. I spend most of my free time driving my kids to their activities and watching their games and swim meets. I love sports, especially the Huskers and the Packers, and I also enjoy working out and reading in my spare time. I played softball in college and also coached for 10 years before my first son was born. I love being at Lakeview!! The staff is amazing and the students impress me everyday!!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Post Baccalaureate Certification in Secondary Education, with a focus on Social Sciences, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I also have a Graduate Certificate in English Language Learner Education, K-12. I taught U.S. History, World History and World Geography at Lincoln High School for two years before I decided to stay home with my kids for almost 15 years. This is my 3rd year teaching ELL at Lakeview!
