I am a Lincoln-ite.  I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1980.  I attended Holmes Elementary, Pound Junior High School, and Lincoln Southeast High School.  After high school, I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I majored in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics, and I earned a Coaching Endorsement.  My job while at the University was a Student Manager for the Nebraska Men's Basketball Program, where I traveled with the team and was at every practice and game.  I graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2002 and got hired at the great Lincoln Southwest High School for the inaugural school year.  It has been an honor to be at Southwest from the very beginning.  

During my tenure at LSW, I have taught mathematics ranging from Algebra - Pre Calculus.  I have also been involved in the LSW Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club.  I have also coached boys basketball from 2002-2009 at the Freshman, Reserve, and Junior Varsity levels.  

I knew I wanted to teach and coach when I was a junior in high school.  I come from a family deeply rooted in education.  Teaching is my passion and I feel that it is my spiritual gift and purpose in life.  I care about my students, I believe in the values of our district and school, and I have high expectations for my students to make them better people as well as better students of mathematics.  I believe that every student can learn math and achieve success, and I can give them the tools to get there.  Let's get to work and have some fun!
