Lindy Anderson is excited to be in her 10th year at Lincoln High School. After completing her student teaching experience at Lincoln High in Social Studies and ELL during the fall of 2011, she feels truly privileged and excited to be able to teach at Lincoln High with great students and great staff! Traveling is a huge passion for Lindy and she feels that she gets to "travel the World" in the ELL department at LHS with students who come from many diverse places around the globe.

Lindy grew up in Lincoln and is a Lincoln Southwest graduate.  Following high school Lindy attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, History, and International Studies with minors in African Studies and Human Rights and Human Diversity. During her time at UNL Lindy also studied abroad for two separate semesters in Queretaro, Mexico and Stellenbosch, South Africa.   It was not until during her study abroad experience in South Africa, where she also taught English to 5th and 6th grade students, that she began to seriously consider teaching. After graduating from college Lindy decided to return to UNL to get her teaching certification and masters degree in Education. The masters degree she is pursuing is in the Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education  program with an emphasis in Language, Literacy, and Culture. Lindy is currently certified to teach in ELL and Social Studies and looks forward to using those skills in the classroom with her students!
