About Me

Curriculum is….

The instructional framework for which to meet National, State, and district based standards and objectives through the alignment of best instructional practice and appropriate grade level assessments to help foster a purposeful learning experience for students.

(Trisha Lind)

I have served the Irving community as a social studied teacher for 8 wonderful years!  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 5 years and we have a busy toddler at home who keeps us happily busy.  Before teaching I graduated from Doane College and competed in track and field and sang in the choir.  Running and singing are still two of my favorite hobbies.  I continued my academic endeavors at Doane and completed a masters in Curriculum and Instruction as well as Educational Leadership.   At Irving I am active in organizing the annual Veterans Day Program and assisting with the PLC Leadership team.  My students would describe me as passionate about my subject area and a teacher who cares about their success as a student and future citizen.

Growing up I was a small town girl from Wauneta, NE and I enjoyed all my memories made while living on our family farm just five miles out of town.  Some of my greatest memories include riding horses, naming all my farm animals, and riding a school bus to and from school each day.  I also enjoyed being involved in school spirit and so I participated in all sports and served in the following clubs; FFA, Student Council, and Honor Society.
