I am so honored to live and teach in the Northeast community. Mickle has been my school home for 25 years. Teaching is a joy and I am inspired daily by the amazing kids who enter my life. My moto is that learning should be fun and everyday brings something new for us to grow from.
A little about me....
I am orginially from Burns, Wyoming but went to middle school and high school in Haslett, MI. I played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. I moved to Lincoln in 1991 to attend UNL. I orginally started as a nursing major and wanted to go into the Air Force ROTC program but decided teaching was my passion at the end of my freshman year. I double majored in English and P.E..
I student taught at Southeast High School for P.E. and finished my semester at Mickle in 7th grade English. This year marks my 25th year of teaching at Mickle.
I am married to my husband Shon and we have two children, Gabriella (28) and Ethan (16). We also have two Chihuauas, Ziggy and Beyna.
