About Me

Growing up I always found myself interested in history and culture and this interest blossomed into a love for the social sciences field.  These interests fit perfectly into my history and AP Human Geography classes at Lincoln High.  Being a social science teacher gave me an incredible opportunity to help our students gain knowledge on subject matter that they could use every day in their lives and community.  If students are to leave high school as better people and citizens it is imperative that they understand how their community, culture, country, and world work.

I believe students need to be able to think critically about the world around them to make choices that will benefit and enrich their lives, these beliefs were a major factor in why I decided to become a school counselor at Lincoln High.  Being a school counselor gives me an incredible opportunity to enhance the lives of young people.  I want my students to develop into well-rounded, educated citizens, who make good choices that allow them to succeed in life during and after high school.

Along with being a school counselor, I am also an assistant varsity football coach, and an assistant varsity track and field coach.  When I am not at school or coaching I enjoy cooking, the outdoors, watching sporting events, and spending time with my wife (a Lincoln High alum, Go Links!) and son.
