About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Mason Burbach and I am the art teacher at Campbell Elementary School. I am thrilled to begin a year of encouraging and strengthening your child’s creative growth. It’s going to be a fun year of creating, connecting, responding, and presenting! Although this is my first year teaching at Campbell, I have multiple professional teaching experiences with schools, galleries, and museums.

In my classroom, I want every child to believe in the power of their own creativity. I believe an open mind and a positive attitude improve learning. I will encourage diversity, respect, and kindness. I will create a safe environment for experimentation and creative learning. I believe each student is unique with different abilities, talents, and skills. I will integrate differentiated instruction in classroom lessons, allowing students to utilize their individual strengths.

Prior to my teaching career in Lincoln, I worked as an artist and also served as Executive Director for the West Nebraska Arts Center in Scottsbluff. My artwork has shown in numerous venues throughout the State of Nebraska as well as national and international collective exhibits. I have taught art classes as a guest artist for the Sheldon Museum of Art’s Sheldon Statewide, Western Nebraska Community College, and the West Nebraska Arts Center.

I have a lot of fun exploring Lincoln with my wife and our two children. I love to read, make art, travel, hunt for Pez and other strange artifacts, and hang out with my house panther, Poe.

I look forward to working with your child to become creative thinkers! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions, comments, or concerns.

Thank you for supporting your child’s creative growth. We are going to have a great year!
