I was born in Nebraska City, NE. At age 1, my mom and my 2 sisters moved to Peru, NE, so that my mom could attend college. When I was 5 years old, we moved to Lincoln, NE. I went to school at Hartley Elementary, Culler Junior High and graduated from Lincoln High School. After graduation, I began my college career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I received my Bachelor’s in 2000 and my Master’s in Special Education-Learning Disabilities in 2008. My first teaching position began in 2002 in the Nebraska City Public Schools. I taught 3rd grade there for 10 years. I then moved to Omaha, NE, where I taught 3rd grade. I went back to school at the University of Nebraska-Omaha for Early Childhood. While attending school in Omaha, I began working for Educare of Omaha. After moving back to Lincoln, I began working for Educare of Lincoln. Now, I am very pleased to say, I work for Lincoln Public Schools as a Family Engagement Teacher at Clinton Elementary School.
