I always knew I would become an educator as I love experiencing new people, places and things. I love being involved in the learning process and watching a student grow and I am passionate about educatioin. I began teaching the fall after I graduated from the University of Nebraska. I taught sixth grade for two years. When my second son was born we made the decision that I would stay home and raise our family. For the next 18 years I had the priviledge of staying home. During that time, I kept my teaching certificate current by taking various educational classes ranging from reading instruction to high ability learners. In 2005, I decided to substitute teach full-time for LPS. I have experience teaching all grade levels ranging from early childhood to Middle School. I substituted for the district for 6 years before excepting a 1-year contract as a Reading Teacher at Goodrich@Dawes. This will be my third year teaching Reading Skills, Reading Elements and Reading Ideas for grades 7 and 8. This will be my first year as Reading Liason for Goodrich
I am married, and my husband and I have six sons ranging in ages from 29 to 14. Needless to say, we are a very busy family. We enjoy working at different times of the year for my husbands' business, Oak Creek Plants and Flowers.
