I am from Lincoln and started my Spanish studies here in middle school. I learned most of my Spanish during a study abroad experience in Seville, Spain. It was a shock to me to arrive there and have to speak Spanish all the time! I had done very well in school, but I quickly realized that I didn't have any of the practical skills that I needed. This experience really impacted my teaching. I want my students to use enough Spanish in class that they will be comfortable using Spanish when they travel abroad someday.
