My name is Madeline Shomos and I am very excited to be the Academic Interventionist at Moore next year. Before starting my teaching career, I worked at a local staffing agency where I learned so much about the city I grew up in. I've spent the past two years teaching English and Reading at Raymond Central Jr./Sr. High. Previously, I also taught introductory French classes at UNL and English classes near Paris, France as part of my graduate studies in Modern Languages and Literatures.
My husband, Clinton, and I were outnumbered by dogs until last November when we welcomed baby Helena into our lives. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with her and the rest of my family. I'm hopeful that she'll grow to share some of my interests: reading, jogging, cooking vegetarian food, playing board games, watching baseball (Go Cubs!), and playing on our vintage pinball machine.
