My name is Makayla Solis. I was proudly raised in the small rural town of Crawford, Nebraska. I moved east after graduation to attend college at Wayne State. My journey took me to Murray, Nebraska where I spent 5 years teaching 5th grade and one year of Kindergarten. My husband Leo transferred to Crete to be a supervisor at Farmland foods, so we packed up and moved to Lincoln. I was offered a position at Arnold Elementary as a 4th grade teacher. This year will be my 5th year teaching at Arnold. I have two daughters, Jade and Alexa. Jade will be an 8th grader at Schoo Middle School this year and Alexa will be starting Kindergarten here at Arnold! My family and I enjoy reading, camping, watching movies, playing board games, and anything around water!
