Before teaching, I worked in a variety of positions that helped prepare me for my role in the classroom. I gained experience working at BoysTown, Behaven Kids, managing and teaching at a Child Care Center/Preschool, and as a paraeducator. My time as a para helped me realize that I wanted to be in the classroom, teaching students everyday. My desire has always been to help children know their worth and reach their potential, and the best place I have found to do that is in the classroom.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, running, exercising, baking, being outside, and listening to music!

Professional Experience

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Northwestern College, and my Elementary Education certificate from Doane University. I completed all of my prepartory work for education in Lincoln Public Schools.
