Hi! I'm Mrs. Walburn. I'm one of the English teachers at East High school where I also direct the Fall One-Act play, winter cabaret, and spring play, and act as the Drama Club/Thespian troop adviser. The courses I teach are Detective Fiction, Shakespeare, Theater I, and Advanced Theater.

I graduated from Boone Central High School in Albion, NE in 2003, and went on to get Bachelor of Arts degrees in both vocal music and English literature from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2007.

In addition to teaching in East, I continue to perform in theater in the Lincoln area at the Lincoln Community Playhouse, OmniArts Nebraska, with Basement Opera, and at area churches. I've also been active with the Nebraska Writing Project and believe that through reading and writing, students can learn to be informed, articulate, active members of society.

I live in Lincoln with husband Brett and my yorkie dogs Finley and Evie. I love teaching English and can't wait to have you in class!
