I am orginally from Hudson, Wisconsin. I am one of four children and sports played a huge part of my life growing up. I lived in Wisconsin my whole life until my wife accepted a job at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012. We enjoy the sports scene at UNL and all the wonderful traditions each has to offer.
Besides my wonderful parents, my fifth grade teacher was a very important person in my life. He instilled in me all the skills necessary to be successful in school - discipline, perseverance, hard work, respect, and accountability. As I entered high school, I knew I wanted to be like him and try to instill the same values in others. I have been teaching since 2005 and have also had the opportunity to coach high school boys basketball. I enjoy sharing stories in my class as a way to connect and build relationships with all my students.
