I was born in Wisconsin and received a B.S. Degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. After a few years of working in Advertising, I went back to school and got a degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. After college, I got married and four years later, had a son. My family now contains a husband, a son, three cats, and two snakes!
Professional Experience
I have been teaching since 1990. I began as a 6th and 5th grade teacher in Lubbock, Texas. Then, my husband and I moved to Florida where I taught 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st grades. After Florida, we moved to South Carolina where I taught in a Montessori School for a couple of years. Later, I went back to public school and taught 4th and 2nd grades. Finally, we moved to the most perfect state...Nebraska. In Nebraska, I taught Montessori, First and the best of all....Reading Recovery!
