About Me

I love teaching.  There is nothing I would rather do.  I've been in the field of education long enough to see the pendulum swing back and forth numerous times.  The current changes to education have been very exciting.  As I continue to learn and grow as an educator, it also renews my commitment,  energy, and determination.

I began my journey in Wisconsin.  This is how I became a Packers' fan.  I was born and raised as one.  After graduating from the University of Whitewater, I married and moved to New Jersey.  I spent 16 wonderful years there.  My husband and I have two children. My daughter will soon graduate from UNL, and my son is in his second year at UNO.  While in New Jersey, I taught primarily 3rd and 4th grade.  I am also certified in Special Education and in 2002 I was able to begin my career in the Lincoln Public School system by taking a position as a resource room teacher.  During the next year, I found myself at Arnold Elementary School teaching both 3rd and 4th grade.  My current position is to serve the children and their families in the 4th grade.

I continue to learn and improve myself as an educator.  I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College.  The great thing about the field of education, however, is that your journey is never finished.  I will continue to grow as an educator to provide the best education I can for the children who are placed in my care.
