About Me

I am originally from California and lived there until 2001.  We moved to Lincoln so my husband could persue a Ph.D. in Geology.  Our plan was to be here for the 4 years it would take, but I fell in love with Lincoln, and we stayed.

I worked for LPS for the first year, and at UNL (housed at Prescott) for the next 4 years.  I returned to LPS and have worked at Prescott since.  I work as  the school registrar, and I absolutely love my job! I love the ability to work closely with families and the kids.  We have an amazing staff here at Prescott and I love coming to work every single day.

My husband and I have two children, our daughter is a math teacher at Goodrich Middle School, and our son is a musician in Hollywood, CA.  We have a boxer named Hazel.

In my free time I love to travel, snorkeling, and scuba diving at tropical locations are my favorite. Camping, gardening, and hanging out with my family and friends are staples in my life. I love theatre and enjoy going to the Lied Center for their fabulous shows.

Professional Experience

I have a BA from California State University, Northridge in Business Administration with an emphasis in personell development. I started out my career working as a store manager for Susie's Casuals, and then became a District Manager covering all of the stores in Northern California.

I was luck enough to stay home when my kids were little, returning to work once my son was in Kindergarten.  I volunteered at the school and was recruited into working for the district as a special education para educator.  The hours were perfect.  I was able to take my kids to school and pick them up.  I started back to working full time when we moved to Nebraska.
