About Me

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

-Mahatma Gandhi

I am so fortunate to be able to serve the Humann Community as I begin my first year as a Husky! I began my educational career as a paraeducator at West Lincoln Elementary School where I discovered my passion for working with special education students. I went on to get my degree in special education and have taught special education at Saratoga Elementary, Arnold Elementary, and Fredstrom Elementary School before beginning my career in administration at Brownell Elementary School. I worked at Brownell as the Coordinator for two years and served as the Assistant Principal at Cavett Elementary for the past three years. I am beyond excited and blessed to now serve as the Principal at Humann Elementary!

My husband, Trent, and I have three children:  Eric is a history teacher and basketball coach at Lincoln North Star High School. He is engaged to be married to my future daughter-in-law, Holli, this summer!  We also have twin daughters, Payton and Taylor, who attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My daughter Taylor is also engaged to my future son-in-law, Bradley. They are also planning on getting married this summer!
