I have been teaching second grade at Beattie for the past 14 years.  Before I came to Beattie, I taught fourth grade in southern California for four years.  I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I was also a member of the track and field team.  My college and early teaching experiences really showed me that teaching was the right profession for me.  I like the fact that my career lets me be creative, form meaningful relationships, and continue learning new things every day.

I still enjoy running and try to complete at least one marathon or half marathon every year. My husband and I have a 9-year-old daughter and we love traveling to new places and watching our daughter compete in dance competitions.
