About Me

My educational journey was not a linear path, but each bend in the road provided me with valuable insight. After earning a Bachelor Degree in Dance Performance, I devoted six years to teaching children creative movement and music. In 2012, I returned to school for my Master of Information and Library Science. While working in a high school library, I discovered how much I love teaching and helping students reach their fullest potential so I enrolled in school, again, this time to earn a K-12 Special Education Teaching Certificate.  Now, I'm living my dream ... being librarian for the amazing LSE students!

It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I strive to do this by creating a welcoming and accepting classroom, by teaching with enthusiasm, by celebrating student accomplishments, and by using technology to help students accomplish things that would otherwise be impossible.

I want my students to understand that learning can happen anywhere, that they can be brave enough to take risks, that they can grow by sharing their learning experiences with the world, and that the skills they learn in my class will help them pursue their dreams long after they have left high school.
