I am a Kindergarten Teacher at Humann Elementary. I love teaching and have wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade, when I had an incredible teacher and role model. I grew up on a farm near DeWitt, NE. After I graduated college, my husband and I moved to McCook, NE. This is where I began my teaching career. I started teaching K-5 special education at West Ward Elementary School. Then in 2003, I started teaching first grade at East Ward Elementary. In 2005, we moved to Lincoln, NE. At this time I started teaching at Humann Elementary as a K-1 special education teacher. In 2008, I began teaching all-day Kindergarten.
I enjoy teaching Kindergarten and getting students started on their lifelong journey of learning. Teaching is my passion and I hope all of my students enjoy learning and succeed to their highest potential. In Kindergarten everyday is a fun and new learning experience!
I married Craig Olsen in 1995. We moved to McCook in 1997 where I started my teaching career. Craig and I have 3 wonderful children, Calen, Corynne and Caitlyn. They keep us very busy with their sporting events and activities. I love to spend time with my family and reading books.
