Grading and Late Work:
Students do not lose points for turning in assignments (formative or summative) late. Students will however be in charge of finding time to come in and complete work if they need extra time outside of class. Assignments that are turned in on time will take priority in grading.
I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade Art.
Below is my face-to-face teaching schedule:
1st Period - PLAN
2nd Period - Art 7 (X and Y Day)
3rd Period - Art 8
4th Period - Art 8
5th Period - PLAN
6th Period - Art 6
7th Period - Art 6
Below is my remote teaching schedule:
- All materials for the day will be posted between 8 and 9 am EVERY MONDAY
- Between 9 am and 11am I will be working on parts of lesson plans such as demonstration videos, slideshows, etc. I will be available to answer questions (via Google Classroom, email, or Zoom) during this time but I may not get back to you right away.
- Between 12pm and 3 pm (6th grade EVERY WEDNESDAY, 7th grade EVERY THURSDAY and 8th grade EVERY FRIDAY) I will be available to answer questions or discuss classroom assignments. I will be able to answer you right away during this time.
Questions sent in the evening, whether on a face-to-face or remote teaching schedule:
- I will be answering questions sent after 3 pm the following morning
Thank you for stopping by. I am so excited to be in my 6th year of teaching Art at Mickle! I grew ud p in Lincoln - attending St. Peter's for grade school and Pius X High School. After college I attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney where I studied Education with endorsements to teach K-12 Art and 7-12 English. In my free time I like to spend time with my 3 cats (Macklemore, Billy Murray, and Lil T) , read and make my own art.
