My name is Stephanie Shunkwiler and I am proud to be an ELL teacher at Roper Elementary. I have taught for a total of twelve years. This is my ninth year teaching in the Lincoln Public Schools District. Before coming to LPS, I taught second grade in Crete, Nebraska for four years.

My husband and I have two daughters. Ava is six years old and will be attending first grade this year. Kennedy is three years old and loves preschool! We also have a dog named Bentley. We are always seeking out our next adventure. We love spending time outside, whether that be at the zoo, the park, or the lake. We enjoy boating, traveling to new places, and spending time with our family and friends.

Working with students and their families is something I am very passionate about.  I believe education is an extremely valuable tool that prepares individuals for success.  Seeing the growth and achievement in my students each and every day is exceptionally rewarding.  I am excited to partner with you to help your child “rocket toward success!”
