Thanks for stopping by my page! I'm super excited to be teaching at Schoo this year and especially to be teaching Math Extension, a class that allows us to dive into mathematics and related topics in a way we usually don't have time for in a normal class.
I grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska and graduated from Bellevue East High School before moving to Lincoln to attend UNL. I've come to love this city, and can't imagine living anywhere else. At UNL I earned my Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a focus in physics. Unhappy with my career prospects, I returned to UNL and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education and began my teaching career. After spending some time commuting to Omaha to teach at King Science & Technology Magnet Center, I was able to work at Schoo which is a much shorter drive.
I have taught the following courses in previous years:
Math 7
Pre-Algebra
Diff Algebra
Geometry
IBHL Math 1 (where I taught concepts from Trigonometry, Calculus I, and Calculus II)
IBHL Math 2 (where I taught concepts from Calculus II, Complex Analysis, and Number Theory)
Professional Experience
Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Physics from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Master of Arts with a major in Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education and a minor in Mathematics from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
