Hi, my name is Tracie Elbracht,

      I come from  a family of teachers. My mother, brother, sister in law, and many cousins are all educators. My love of children, coupled with my family background steered me into the field of education. I love teaching and have many years of classroom experience.  Over the course of my career,  I have been a reading support teacher, an ELL teacher, a third grade teacher and now a second grade teacher.  I so enjoy watching children grow and learn, especially in the areas of reading and writing. I send home a writing portfolio with each student's best writing work for the year.  Many parents have told me they appreciate this record of their child's writing progress. 

      I am married with two wonderful children, Jackson and Madeline. My husband, Mike, is the owner of Woodhaven Construction.  We enjoy watching our children play soccer, and participate in various middle school events.. I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, movies and visiting friends and relatives.
