School was always an enjoyable place for me. I've always liked learning and got along well with my teachers and other students. It is no surprise to most of them to know that I'm a teacher now. During college I worked with Lincoln Parks and Recreation in many different positions. My favorite job was working at Irving Recreation Center with the middle school kids, so I made that my major at UNL. I graduated in 1997 with a degree in Middle Grades Education with a Major in English/Language Arts and Social Studies and a Minor in History. I've taught a lot of different classes through the year starting with Reading at Goodrich Middle School in 1998, then at Dawes teaching everything 6th grade for over 10 years and a year of seventh grade English as well. Now I teach eighth graders American History at Scott Middle School.
